SUMMARY:NSS- Trinity Downtown Pantry: Free Groceries for Seniors and Persons with Disabilities and Special Dietary Needs
DESCRIPTION:The NSS-Trinity Downtown Pantry is a partnership between Trinity and Nutrition Security Solutions to help feed our downtown New Haven neighbors.  The pantry provides free healthy groceries for seniors and persons with disabilities and special dietary needs\, who live in the Charles T. McQueeney Towers on Orange Street.  Certain income\, residency and registration requirements apply.  Sign up at the Church and choose and pre-order your own groceries every other Tuesday morning\, and pickup your grocery order in the Church Parlor using the Wall Street entrance every other Friday morning.\n\nThis institution is an equal opportunity provider. DESCRIPTION:Church and community members of ALL ages are invited to join us for this time to connect more deeply with each other and with the stories in God’s Word! \nJoin us Sundays at 9 a.m. for a light Breakfast with drinks and coffee in the Parlor\, and for a gathering time\, video introduction\, and opening prayer. \nKids\, Youth\, and Adults will then serve as “Faith Buddies” to explore the day’s Bible story together\, with activities\, crafts\, and games in the Sunday School room. Coffee\, fellowship and discussion also continues in the Parlor. \n“Kindness coins” given out for participating\, redeemable for gift cards and treats\, and special surprises for all ages! \nJoin us Sundays at 9 am!

SUMMARY:Blood Pressure Screening
DESCRIPTION:After worship\, get your blood pressure checked for free!  A blood pressure screening is important because high blood pressure usually has no symptoms and cannot be detected without being measured. High blood pressure increases the risk of heart disease and stroke. \nHow often you should get your blood pressure checked depends on your age and overall health. \n\nPeople age 18 and older with optimal blood pressure and no heart disease risk factors should have a blood pressure test at least once every 2 to 5 years.\nPeople age 40 and older — or younger with an increased risk of high blood pressure — should have a blood pressure test every year. Risk factors for high blood pressure include obesity and being Black.\nPeople who have chronic health conditions\, such as high or low blood pressure or heart disease\, may need to have blood pressure tests more often.\n\nInformation from Mayo Clinic.
